Major Automotive Award Win for VT Training

Training Award Logo VT Training has just been named as the winner of the Institute of Transport Management’s (ITM) ‘Automotive Training Company 2008’ award.  VT Training was chosen following ITM’s long-term research into skills provision in the automotive sector.

VT Training was selected for offering a wide range of training services, from the provision of courses such as NVQs, apprenticeships, skills-for-life and short-term job training, to access to crucial information resources and Government funding.  VT Training was also singled out for constantly updating services to match changing industry needs.  In the automotive sector, VT Training could be seen to have identified and responded to the increasing job diversification which has characterised the recent evolution of the UK motor industry.  Accordingly, VT Training supplies a variety of apprenticeship courses designed to prepare workers for the rigours of customer service in a demanding automotive environment.

Commenting on the award to VT Training, Mr. Sheedy, Media and PR Director at the ITM, said: “Today’s industries are constantly confronted by new challenges; globalisation, the pace of technological change and consumer demand have all revolutionised the way we do business. Knowledge and skills play an increasingly important role in the UK’s capacity for innovation and growth. With the expertise of companies such as VT Training, the UK automotive sector is meeting those challenges successfully and can count itself as following best practice delivered by the best people.”
